Job Description

This position assists a Business Manager in Arts and Science to provide centralized fiscal, payroll, and timekeeping support to primarily the Departments of English, Philosophy, and Sociology. This position will collaborate with departments chairs and faculty.

The primary responsibilities include:

  • Process routine fiscal transactions such as reimbursements, purchases, and correcting entries.
  • Support payroll and timekeeping processing through monitoring submission and approval of timesheets, reviewing payable time and assisting with payroll actions and corrections.
  • Process routine personnel appointment and pay actions like assisting with ePAFs and additional pay actions
  • Ensure monthly automated financial reports are sent to faculty (e.g., Professional Development funds, Faculty Start-Up, Endowment/Gift funds, etc) and answer question.
  • Perform standard reconciliation activities such as completing checklists, review reports and resolving routine discrepancies.
Shift

This position is generally Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Minimum Qualifications

An Associate's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.

Anticipated Hiring Range

Salary Range: $17.40 - $23.37 per hour

Grade: GGS - 007

This is an in-person role located on the University of Missouri-Columbia campus. Candidates must reside in the state of Missouri or being willing to relocate prior to the hire date.
