Manager, Compensation Location: Remote, United States (working Eastern timezone hours) Employment Type: Full-Time Benefits Offered: Vision, Medical, Life, Dental, 401K Gross Annual Base Salary: USD 114,000 - 148,000 Additional variable compensation and benefits may apply. Total compensation is based on experience, skills, and location using objective, job-related criteria. Summary The Manager, Compensation drives OneStream's global compensation strategy, programs, and operations by partnering with leaders to deliver market-competitive, equitable, and scalable compensation solutions. This role provides strategic guidance on hiring, promotions, market pricing, job architecture, and organizational design, using data to strengthen governance, improve processes, and support business objectives and an exceptional employee experience. Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of global compensation programs aligned with business strategy, market competitiveness, internal equity, and compensation philosophy.
- Partner with People Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, Finance, and business leaders to provide strategic guidance on hiring, promotions, market adjustments, organizational changes, and pay decisions.
- Lead job architecture and market pricing, including job evaluation, leveling, salary range development, and external benchmarking.
- Manage annual and cyclical compensation programs, including merit planning, promotions, market adjustments, bonuses, and equity reviews.
- Develop and maintain compensation policies, governance, and approval processes to ensure consistency, compliance, and sound compensation decisions.
- Analyze compensation and workforce data to identify trends, assess market competitiveness and internal equity, and provide recommendations to People Operations and executive leadership.
- Lead cross-functional compensation initiatives by partnering with HRIS, Revenue Operations, Finance, Legal, Payroll, IT, and other key stakeholders.
- Own compensation data integrity, ensuring the accuracy of compensation data across HR systems, reporting platforms, and third-party applications.
- Evaluate and implement compensation technologies, process improvements, and AI-enabled solutions that enhance operational efficiency and employee experience.
- Develop leader communications, guidance, and training to increase understanding and adoption of compensation programs and philosophy.
- Lead and develop the Compensation team through coaching, prioritization, and continuous improvement.
Required Education and Experience
- A bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
- Six to eight years of Human Resources experience with expertise in strategic compensation.
Preferred Education and Experience
- Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
- Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) certification or progress toward certification.
- Experience supporting global compensation programs in for a technology or SaaS organization.
- Experience implementing and optimizing compensation technologies.
- Experience with compensation management platforms and market pricing tools (e.g., Pave, Radford, Mercer, WTW, Korn Ferry).
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong knowledge of global compensation principles, market pricing methodologies, and compensation best practices.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to align compensation strategies and programs to organizational objectives.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex compensation concepts to employees, leaders, and cross-functional partners.
- Strong project management, organizational, and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment, take initiative, and drive work independently with strong attention to detail and follow-through.
- Ability to build collaborative relationships and influence stakeholders across all levels of the organization.
- Knowledge of compensation governance, compliance, and applicable employment laws and regulations.
- Proficiency with compensation systems, HRIS platforms, and Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive employee and compensation information.
- Adaptability and resilience, with the ability to navigate ambiguity, shifting priorities, and changing business needs.
