Job Summary The QUASAR Lab in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Colorado Boulder is seeking an Hourly Quantum Software Engineer to support research and development in quantum computing systems and software. The anticipated start date is Fall 2026. The position involves implementing and evaluating quantum software techniques, developing research software for quantum platforms, and supporting ongoing research projects in quantum computing, quantum optimization, and quantum computer architecture. What We Can Offer The anticipated pay rate for the selected candidate is $19.00 per hour. What We Require This position is part of a collaborative academic research environment. Successful candidates should be comfortable working on open-ended research problems, learning new technologies, reading technical literature, and contributing to software development for emerging quantum computing platforms. The role may involve independent work as well as collaboration with faculty, graduate students, and external research partners.
