Resume and Cover Letter required Department Summary The California Mathematics Project (CMP) is dedicated to enhancing mathematics education by providing high-quality professional development and leadership training for teachers across California. As part of the UCLA School of Education & Information Studies, CMP works to improve instructional practices, deepen teachers' mathematical knowledge, and promote equity in mathematics education. CMP collaborates with educators, schools, and districts to develop research-based strategies that enhance student learning and engagement in mathematics. Through workshops, coaching, and leadership programs, CMP empowers teachers to create effective, inclusive, and innovative classroom environments. With a commitment to equity and excellence, CMP ensures that all students-especially those from historically underserved communities-have access to high-quality mathematics instruction. By fostering a network of skilled and knowledgeable educators, CMP plays a crucial role in advancing mathematics education and student success throughout California. Position Summary The California Mathematics Project (CMP) provides professional development and leadership training for teachers of mathematics. The CMP Executive Director provides leadership for the Statewide Project and CMP regional sites in the context of the California Subject Matter Project (CSMP) model and mission as one of nine discipline-based projects in the CSMP network administered by the University of California (UC). CMP provides support to teachers to develop and enhance the content knowledge and pedagogical skills necessary to implement State Board of Education Standards, supports the improvement of mathematics education, and supports the development of long-term partnerships with low-performing schools and high need schools. Salary & Compensation *UCLA provides a full pay range. Actual salary offers consider factors, including budget, prior experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business considerations. Salary offers at the top of the range are not common.
