Sr Product Designer, PDF Spaces

Adobe Inc.
Jul 29, 2026
The opportunity

Adobe Design is looking for a Sr Product Designer to join our PDF Spaces team. You'll work on tools that are central to the lives and work of more than 600 million monthly active users across a multitude of surfaces and platforms. PDF Spaces is focused on reimagining how people interact with, navigate, and collaborate with documents, creating rich, intuitive environments that make complex document workflows feel effortless.

The Document Cloud Design team has a strong legacy of innovation and continues to be recognized for groundbreaking work - honored in TIME's Best Inventions in 2023 for Liquid Mode and again in 2024 for Acrobat's AI Assistant, and more recently by Fast Company for being one of the Top Most Innovative Companies in Applied AI. If you're passionate about crafting intuitive experiences at this scale, we'd love to hear from you.

This is early-stage, exploratory work that actually ships. You'll be defining the interaction model, not completing a pre-established one. This involves making decisions in uncertain situations, building prototypes to gain insights, and working closely with research and engineering to determine what is feasible and best for users.

What you'll do
  • Design. Develop sketches, end-to-end flows, prototypes, and polished UI - adapting your process to fit the problem at hand.

  • Simplify. Translate complex user needs into practical, human-centered solutions that balance business objectives with user needs.

  • Champion. Develop a strong point of view grounded in user research and data, advocating for clear, thoughtful solutions.

  • Collaborate. Build positive relationships and work closely with product, engineering, and design partners across Document Cloud.

  • Influence. Drive alignment through compelling storytelling and present design rationale confidently to partners and leadership.

  • Delight. Build experiences that are usable, useful, modern, and accessible within PDF and document workflows.

  • Elevate. Uphold a high bar for design craft and contribute to the growth of teammates around you.

What you need to succeed
  • 6+ years of proven product design experience, or a related degree with equivalent practical experience.

  • A portfolio demonstrating strong UX and visual design across responsive, multi-surface experiences.

  • Proficiency in modern design and prototyping tools, including Figma and Adobe Creative Cloud.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and solid grounding in core UX principles and methodologies.

  • Empathy for both customers and teammates, with a process rooted in listening and understanding.

  • Ability to clearly communicate sophisticated ideas verbally and in writing, at all levels of the organization.

  • Comfort collaborating across functions and contributing to an inclusive, empowering environment for fellow designers.

  • Adaptability to design with current and emerging technologies and evolving user experience patterns.

  • Familiarity with AI/ML-powered product experiences.

Preferred Accessibility Design Skills:

  • Experience designing accessible and inclusive interfaces for people with disabilities.

  • Understanding of applying WCAG conformance criteria in design, specifically testing comps, wireframes, and prototypes for accessibility standards.

  • Accessibility certifications CPACC, WAS, CPWA, or ADS from the IAAP preferred.

How to apply

Please submit your resume and portfolio. We are particularly interested in seeing:

  • Thoughtful, high-craft solutions

  • How direct customer research has shaped your design decisions

  • How you partner cross-functionally and lead with empathy

  • How you've navigated complexity and ambiguity in your work
