Job Description

The University of Missouri System (UM System) is seeking a Pillar Lead of Change Management to lead the change management functions, including communications, readiness, engagement and training, associated with the implementation of a new Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) platform for Finance and Human Resources at a large and complex university system. Reporting to the ERP Program Director, the Change Management Pillar Lead ensures the University's readiness for adoption leading up to and through implementation of the new ERP. The Pillar Lead is responsible for providing vision, leadership and direction for change management activities in accordance with policy and standards in support of the University's strategic direction.

The project envisions a four-year implementation timeframe for HR and Finance ERP systems, with a decision on a Student implementation to run concurrently. The successful candidate will engage leaders across business units, Finance and HR, and other key stakeholders throughout the implementation to monitor engagement and help foster a commitment to moving their areas toward adoption. The University expects that in order to implement the ERP successfully, it will need to make necessary process changes to ensure the system functions as expected. The Change Management Pillar Lead will support project efforts to build consensus and move stakeholders towards agreement. The Pillar Lead develops and executes change strategies and plans that maximize employee adoption, minimize resistance, and accelerate attainment of business benefits. This role identifies and mitigates change risks, addresses capability and resource gaps, and fosters stakeholder commitment to new processes and ways of working.

Essential Duties:

* Leads the university's change management strategy, planning and execution for the implementation of a new ERP system. Defines project communication touch points with various university stakeholders.
* Oversees the communication and training programs for the ERP program, ensuring the development, consistency, and alignment of messaging and design of all communications and training efforts associated with the project.
* Reports to the ERP Project Management Office and collaborates with management, project teams, central business areas, and the university community to define the training strategy and to develop and deploy the university's training plan.
* Oversees the creation and delivery of communication and training materials, webpages, announcements, flyers, brochures and other university publications, in accordance with university branding, policy and standards.
* Oversees the development of training and monitors effectiveness, making course corrections as appropriate.
* Monitors the effectiveness of various communication and training strategies to ensure adoption and uses insights gained to inform and adjust future approaches.
* Effectively communicates with stakeholders involved with the project, including project leadership, steering committee, project teams, outside consultants, central business process owners, and university end-users.
* Evaluates readiness at key milestones and recommends appropriate action to address gaps.
* Provides leadership and mentorship to the change management staff.
* Ensures the change management staff members have the skills necessary to support the university in a highly effective, customer-service manner.
* Performs other related duties as assigned or required.
* Coordinates change management activities across the other program teams and broader university stakeholders.

* Complete weekly status reports, risk & issue logs.
* Report on change progress, risks, adoption, and readiness to governance forums.

Shift

Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm

Minimum Qualifications

A bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 7 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience leading comprehensive change management programs
* Experience with ERP implementations
* Strong communication, executive presence and presentation skills, with the ability to independently lead and influence others across the organization strongly preferred
* Experience in a higher education environment a plus
* Experience managing others.
* Experience in fostering a team-oriented work environment.
* Demonstrated adaptability working in a fast-paced, ever-evolving and deadline driven environment while maintaining multiple priorities.
* Experience working in a large, complex organization.
* Ability to navigate ambiguity and adapt to organizational reactions. Experience and expertise in providing comprehensive change management functions, including communications and training, for sophisticated ERP systems, including financial management systems.
* Experience with Workday HCM, financial and/or student systems.
* Experience working in a higher education environment.
* Professional certifications and/or memberships related to change management and organizational development.

Anticipated Hiring Range

Salary Range: $90,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
