Responsibilities

This position will support the firm's Investment Policy Committee (IPC), the group responsible for the firm's investment decision-making. The role is designed to provide meaningful contributions throughout the entire portfolio management process.

Essential Duties:

  • Responsible for managing investment portfolios.
  • Work with the Investment Policy Committee on establishing ongoing investment direction.
  • Perform ad hoc fundamental research to assist in the development of new portfolio themes and strategies, with a particular focus on macroeconomic trends and asset class valuation (equity, fixed income, alternatives)
  • Conduct exchange-traded fund due diligence through the use of research software including Bloomberg Professional and Morningstar Direct, as well as direct interaction with ETF providers
  • Effectively utilize the firm's portfolio management system (PMS), Orion, to fulfill client reporting requirements
  • Support the production of the firm's regular (weekly, monthly, quarterly) research publications.
  • Maintain proficient knowledge of, and demonstrate ongoing compliance with all laws and regulations applicable to this position, ensure ongoing adherence to pertinent policies, procedures, and internal controls, and meet all training requirements in a timely manner.

Ancillary Duties:

  • As an integral member of the Nottingham Advisors team, this position is responsible to provide assistance wherever necessary to help the department and the Bank in achieving their goals.

Qualifications

Education, Training and Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree (preferably in Finance, Economics or Accounting) with strong academic track record.
  • Experience in the financial or brokerage industry required.
  • All applicants must be 18 years of age or older.

Skills:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent analytical and quantitative skills
  • Proficiency in spreadsheet modeling, graphing, and presentations
  • Proficient with the Bloomberg Terminal
  • Must be able to work independently under minimal supervision.
  • Pursuing or completed CFA Charter.

Experience:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience required in securities analysis and portfolio management.
