What You'll Do



Job Summary:

The Manager, Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) is responsible for supporting the execution and ongoing enhancement of the organization's Enterprise Risk Management framework. This role provides Second Line of Defense (2LOD) oversight through risk assessments, governance activities, issue management, and risk reporting processes that help ensure risks are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and managed across the organization.

The position partners with business leaders and risk functions to promote consistent risk management practices,

support enterprise governance activities and strengthen the organization's overall risk culture.

Essential Functions:

  • Support implementation and ongoing enhancement of the Enterprise Risk Management framework, methodologies, and governance practices.
  • Lead enterprise and business unit risk assessments, identifying key risks, control gaps, and emerging risk trends.
  • Facilitate risk identification, assessment, mitigation, and monitoring activities across multiple risk domains.
  • Support monitoring and reporting of enterprise risk appetite, key risk indicators (KRIs), and emerging risks.
  • Oversee risk and control self-assessment (RCSA) activities and ensure consistency across business units.
  • Support enterprise issue management activities, including issue identification, remediation tracking, and reporting.
  • Prepare and deliver meaningful risk reporting for management committees and senior leadership.
  • Analyze risk trends and provide recommendations to strengthen risk management practices and governance.
  • Partner with Compliance, Credit Risk, Information Security Risk, Financial Crimes, Internal Audit, and business units to support integrated risk management.
  • Support regulatory examinations, audits, and governance reviews.
  • Assist in maintaining enterprise risk taxonomies, methodologies, policies, and standards.
  • Drive improvements to risk reporting, data quality, governance practices, and risk management processes.



Typical Scope:



  • Ensures projects and departmental milestones are met within approved budgets. Implements policy and strategy for short term results (typically within one year). Identifies and resolves day-to-day technical and operational problems. Makes decisions guided by policies, procedures, and business plan that affect cross-team coordination and resource allocation. Operates with autonomy on most decisions, requiring guidance only on complex judgments. Decisions have short- to medium-term impact.
  • Works on issues where analysis of situation or data requires review of relevant factors. Tackles moderately complex problems and drives tactical relationships across teams. Demonstrates advanced understanding of their functional area and growing awareness of the broader organization and competitive landscape. Possesses expert-level knowledge in their discipline.
  • Manages experienced professionals who exercise independence in their work. Has full authority for personnel actions and is responsible for staff development, resource deployment, and achieving departmental goals. May also contribute individually.
  • 4 - 7 Assistant Managers and/or Senior Professionals and below reporting to them.



What You'll Need



Qualifications & Skills:



  • Strong knowledge of enterprise risk management frameworks and governance practices.
  • Experience conducting risk assessments and facilitating risk workshops.
  • Understanding of risk appetite, KRIs, issue management, and risk reporting.
  • Ability to evaluate risks, controls, and remediation activities.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience supporting audits, examinations, and governance activities.
  • Ability to influence without direct authority and build strong partnerships.



Preferred Certifications:



  • CRISC
  • FRM
  • CRCM
  • CIA
  • CAMS (as applicable)

    Expected Pay Range



    $116,500 - 140,000
