Overview

The Business Development Research Analyst will support the VTG Corp Growth Team to collect competitive intelligence across federal and commercial markets to support the development of strategic growth strategies and improve capture and proposal management functions. VTG is looking for a Business Development Research Analyst to lead special projects and process improvement initiatives. This is a hybrid role working remotely and from our Chantilly, VA headquarters location as required.


What will you do?

  • Serve as the special projects and process improvement analyst supporting key growth initiatives.
  • Coordinate metrics collection and reporting enhancements to track and reconcile awards, bookings, backlog, and revenue / profit projections. Ensure data is valid, accurate and shared between Corporate Growth, Finance and Operational leadership in a timely manner.
  • Perform reconciliation between financial reporting, contract documentation, and Corp Growth databases.
  • Coordinate Growth inputs for budgeting and forecasting tasks in support of Finance.
  • Work directly with the Corp Growth team to research opportunities, customers and competitors in the government space utilizing various open-source tools such as FPDS, DSBS, GSA Advantage, USAspending.gov, FedBizOpps, GovWin IQ, and others.
  • Support the development of capture plans and proposal solutioning strategies and develop / maintain corporate capabilities matrices for pending opportunities.
  • Assist with proposal development to include technical writing, editing, reviews, and scheduling.

Do you have what it takes?

  • Bachelor's Degree with a business and data analytics focus.
  • Experience utilizing Customer Resource Management (CRM) databases and Microsoft Office suite with emphasis on Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Effective time management, planning and organizational skills required to handle multiple tasks either working independently or as a team member in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills suited for a professional environment including the ability to generate technical reports and documents and coordinating effectively with various levels of management, technical personnel and client organizations.
  • Experience in consulting / government contracting desired.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Critical thinking is a must.

PayRange: VTG's estimated starting pay range is $40,000-$55,000 annually, which is a general guideline for the geographic location. When extending an offer, VTG also considers work experience, education, skill level, market considerations and may possibly include contractual requirements which may cause an offer to fall outside of this range.
