Your Impactful Responsibilities Will Include



  • Crafting compelling press releases, detailed fact sheets, impactful speaking points, and other essential communications materials designed to captivate diverse audiences.
  • Nurturing and expanding relationships with key media contacts, staying ahead of industry trends and news to proactively identify strategic opportunities.
  • Orchestrating and overseeing assigned projects and events, which includes providing critical on-site support for special events, photo shoots, interviews, and press conferences.
  • Developing and executing strategic public relations plans in seamless collaboration with external agencies and freelance partners, guaranteeing a unified brand message.
  • Actively participating in communications team brainstorms, contributing fresh perspectives and innovative ideas that drive campaigns and initiatives forward.
  • Ensuring vital follow-up with internal employees and external partners, promptly addressing inquiries and distributing crucial public relations information.
  • Managing budget administration tasks, including meticulous invoicing, comprehensive reporting, and finance coordination for various communications initiatives.
  • Conducting thorough research on media groups and assisting your manager in the development and execution of effective media outreach strategies to maximize brand visibility.


What You'll Bring to the Team



  • 2-4 years of direct experience in communications or public relations, with an ideal background in the sports industry and a specific focus on running.
  • A Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience: Master's with 0-3 years, Associate's with 1-3 years, High School with 3-5 years, or advanced degrees with relevant background).
  • Demonstrated proficiency in writing press releases or other communications materials, with a portfolio available for review.
  • A solid command of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Flexibility with scheduling and event attendance, including occasional weekend availability and a willingness to travel for events.


Exceptional Candidates Will Also Have



  • A profound knowledge of and genuine passion for the sport of running.
  • Previous experience working within a PR agency or an event management company.
  • Prior industry experience that would enable you to integrate seamlessly and contribute effectively from day one.
