Buckeye Partners is currently seeking a Specialist, Operations Inventory I with experience in terminal operations and inventory control in the Oil & Gas Industry to join our team!

Role Summary:

The Specialist, Operations Inventory role is responsible for accurate and timely accounting of operational inventories on a daily and month end basis at the assigned facilities.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities include:




  • Quality Control. Reviewing transactions, batch changes, tank temperatures, product gravities, and tank water bottoms for accuracy.



  • Inventory control. Ensuring Operations completes accurate and timely daily inventory.



  • Training. Training Terminal Operators on the TMS system.



  • Process Improvement. Improving the inventory accounting process and finding ways to be more efficient.



  • Inventory Liaison. Serving as the inventory liaison between Operations Manager and Operators. Provide feedback and report equipment trends as related to inventory issues to Operations Manager in a timely manner and make recommendations for equipment repairs or enhancements.



  • 3rd Party Management. Verifying terminal operations is meeting all 3rd party inspection requirements and meter proving reports match reports shown on tickets from 3rd parties. Prepare and share measurement reports with terminal operations and reconcile with 3rd party inspection reports against physical inventory.



  • And other duties as assigned.





Position Requirements:




  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.



  • 5+ years of experience in terminal operations required, including significant knowledge of equipment and maintenance of terminals, meters, marine /railcar/truck loading racks, etc.



  • Inventory control and/or accounting background would be a plus.



  • Familiarity with computerized inventory control systems and truck rack automation systems required.



  • TopTech TMS or similar terminal inventory management system experience preferred.



  • Travel Requirements: 10%





Certificates & Licenses:




  • This position is subject to the port security regulations set forth by the Transportation Security Administration and United States Coast Guard.   • This position requires the ability to safely and successfully perform essential job functions consistent with ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and or/quantitative productivity standards.



  • This role requires the ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.



  • This position requires compliance with all personnel policies.





Physical & Safety Requirements:




  • This person must meet medical criteria established by OSHA for emergency response.



  • Position may require exposure to adverse weather conditions, hazardous environments and require the physical stamina to climb tanks, work long hours in the field and wear a respirator.
