Baker College of Muskegon is seeking an Adjunct to teach courses in Mathematics! Preferred qualifications for this position include a doctoral degree in mathematics, engineering, physics or statistics. These credentials ensure our faculty possess the depth of knowledge and teaching expertise necessary to excel in educating future business professionals. An ideal candidate will also have previous teaching experience and must be computer literate with Canvas, Microsoft Office Suite, Google Apps and the internet. Candidates are required to have a Master's degree in mathematics or acceptable subfield, or Master's degree in any field with 18 graduate semester hours of mathematics content (could be out of field courses with heavy math content) or Master's degree in education and secondary teaching certification (grades 6-12) in mathematics. Acceptable subfields: Applied mathematics, statistics, engineering, and physics New candidates should be prepared to teach up to a maximum of 9-credit hours per semester, revise, review, and develop curriculum as assigned, and attend all required professional development and training sessions. Additionally, they must collect and submit required assessment of student learning data, and actively participate in campus and system committees, meetings, projects, and activities.
