Interaction / Product Designer (In-Vehicle Experience) About the Role This role supports a rapidly evolving design organization focused on redefining how digital experiences are delivered within vehicles. As part of the in-vehicle design team, you will help shape the driver-facing experience-specifically the digital instrument cluster interface that sits directly in front of the driver. You'll play a key role in designing intuitive, visually compelling, and brand-consistent experiences that scale across multiple vehicle lines. This is an opportunity to contribute to highly visible, innovative work that directly impacts millions of users and influences how modern vehicles communicate with drivers in real time. What You'll Do * Collaborate with cross-functional partners to create seamless, high-quality user experiences across products and platforms * Design driver-facing digital interfaces, including layouts, system interactions, and notification experiences within the instrument cluster * Balance user needs, technical constraints, and business objectives to deliver effective and scalable design solutions * Produce high-quality design deliverables such as sketches, wireframes, visual designs, motion studies, and interactive prototypes * Deliver production-ready specifications and assets to engineering teams * Ensure consistency with established design systems while contributing enhancements and new components * Present concepts and design rationale to stakeholders and leadership * Partner closely with product and engineering teams to implement polished and cohesive UI solutions * Participate in design critiques and provide thoughtful feedback to elevate team output * Manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment Required Qualifications * 5+ years of experience designing digital interfaces across web, mobile, or in-vehicle systems * Strong full-stack design experience with a demonstrated end-to-end design process * Proven experience working within and contributing to design systems * Strong portfolio showcasing UX, interaction design, visual design, and problem-solving depth * Experience bringing digital products from concept to production * High level of attention to detail with a commitment to quality and precision * Proficiency with industry-standard tools including Figma and Adobe Creative Suite * Ability to communicate ideas clearly through visual, verbal, and written methods * Strong collaboration skills with cross-functional teams * Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities Preferred Qualifications * Experience with UI/UX design, prototyping, and interaction design * Familiarity with tools such as Axure or Sketch * Exposure to automotive, embedded systems, or hardware-related interfaces * Background in motion design or animation for digital interfaces What We're Looking For * A quick learner who thrives in ambiguity and adapts to new challenges * A highly detail-oriented designer who can manage multiple priorities simultaneously * A self-motivated individual who takes ownership of their work and continuously seeks improvement * Passion for innovation and pushing the boundaries of digital design within emerging platforms Work Environment * Fast-paced, collaborative, and highly iterative design environment * Opportunity to work across multiple projects and product lines simultaneously * High visibility into future product innovation and roadmap initiatives Why This Role is Exciting * Work on cutting-edge in-vehicle experiences that redefine how users interact with technology on the road * Contribute to large-scale digital transformation initiatives within a globally recognized organization * Gain exposure to advanced technologies including real-time systems, mobility, and vehicle engineering * Be part of a team that values innovation, growth, and internal mobility * Create experiences that directly influence customer satisfaction and purchasing decisions Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Warren, MI. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
