Position Summary:

The Retail Sales Administrator provides critical operational and analytical support to the Retail Sales team. This role is responsible for trade promotion management, performance reporting, and a variety of sales-related administrative functions. Key responsibilities include managing promotional data within TPM systems, supporting deduction resolution, coordinating customer order issue resolution, and delivering timely, accurate reporting to inform sales performance.

While this position reports to the VP of Retail Sales, the role works closely with and supports Regional Sales Managers on a day-to-day basis.

Key Responsibilities:

Trade Promotion Management (TPM)



  • Maintain accurate records of customer promotional plans and associated contracts
  • Input, update, and manage promotion events within the TPM system
  • Ensure data accuracy and alignment across systems


Promotion Coordination



  • Download and review active trade promotions
  • Coordinate approvals with Demand Planning
  • Communicate promotion status and approvals to Sales teams


Deduction Resolution Support



  • Partner with broker teams to gather proof of performance and required documentation
  • Assist in resolving customer deductions in a timely manner


Sales Performance Reporting



  • Develop and distribute performance reports for Sales and broker teams
  • Extract and analyze data from customer portals (e.g., Target Partner Online)


Customer & Broker Support



  • Respond to broker inquiries (e.g., POS, data, images, sales materials)
  • Support customer needs including new item forms, sample requests, and documentation


Order & Issue Coordination



  • Assist with resolution of customer order issues (EDI errors, late shipments, etc.)


Administrative Support



  • Fulfill ad-hoc reporting, data analysis, and administrative requests


Minimum Qualifications



  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, data analysis)
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in data management
  • Demonstrated ability to learn new systems and tools quickly
  • Highly organized with strong time management skills


Preferred Qualifications



  • Experience with Foster Farms sales data
  • Experience with SAP systems (2+ years preferred)
  • Experience with Trade Promotion Management (TPM) systems (1+ year preferred)
  • Associate degree in Business or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience supporting a sales organization in reporting and data administration
