Under direct supervision of a supervisor and work direction from a Substation Operator, performs the assigned maintenance and cleaning of station and substation property. Assists with substation and station inspections and reports conditions to the organizational unit operating authority. Reviews and studies technical prints, attends formal training classes, learns the operation of stations and substations, and gains knowledge of relay applications. Receives training and progressively learns to perform the duties of a Reserve Substation Operator. May provide assistance or support to Power Equipment Relay Test (PERT) and Electrical Maintenance Journeyman (EMJ) teams with field training as needed. Key Accountabilities
