What You Will Do:
GFT is seeking a motivated Entry Level Mechanical Engineer to join our Hydropower team in Roseville, CA. This position follows a hybrid work format, requiring a minimum 3 days of onsite attendance per week. Joining the Power Generation team atGFT means contributing to innovative solutions for power generation, water conveyance, and upgrading aging hydropower infrastructure throughout California and the nation. Our team excels in Powerhouse mechanical systems, Turbine auxiliary systems, Hydro Governors, water conveyance large gates and valves, systems modernization & optimization, troubleshooting, and condition assessments. With a focus on integrating technology, sustainability, and compliance, we consider each Powerhouse and water conveyance structure a chance to innovate and optimize to improve our infrastructure and the reliability of the resources it provides to the public.hydropower projects here. What you'll be challenged to do: The Entry-Level Mechanical Engineer supports the design, evaluation, and rehabilitation of Powerhouse and Dam mechanicals systems such as Hydro Generators, Turbine assemblies, Governors, hydro bearings, large butterfly valves, tainter/radial gates, fixed-cone valves, hoists, hydraulic power units, and control systems. They perform 2D and 3D CAD modeling, preliminary finite element analysis (FEA), assist with field reconnaissance and data collection, and prepare technical documents including reports, specifications, and cost estimates. The role also includes contributing to proposal efforts and collaborating with clients to help deliver successful project outcomes.

Compensation:
