Facility Manager - Marina Del Rey, CA

Position Overview: The Facility Manager is responsible for ensuring 24/7 operational excellence at The Hospital & Emergency Department, overseeing Valet Operations, Employee Shuttle Transportation, and Monthly Parking Assignments. This role emphasizes service, safety, and professionalism in a healthcare setting.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership:

• Lead and develop the parking staff.
• Manage scheduling, training, and daily activities.
• Identify and nurture high-potential employees.

Operational Oversight:

• Oversee valet operations to ensure patient-centered, safe service.
• Manage employee shuttle operations for timely performance and effective communication.
• Administer monthly parking assignments for staff and contractors.

Compliance and Safety:

• Ensure DOT compliance for shuttle drivers and maintain required documentation.
• Adhere to LAZ Parking policies and Cedars-Sinai standards.
• Collaborate with security and emergency services to promote safety.

Training and Development:

• Work with the Training Coordinator to ensure staff complete necessary training.
• Support ongoing development for Team Leaders in coaching and service standards.

Client Relationship Management:

• Build solutions-oriented relationships with Cedars-Sinai leadership and other departments.
• Address client concerns promptly to maintain trust and satisfaction.
• Ensure contractual service expectations are met.

Reporting and Communication:

• Prepare operational reports on a regular basis.
• Communicate effectively with hospital partners and LAZ leadership.
• Assist in monitoring market rate structures as needed.

Additional Duties:

• Coordinate support for special events.
• Assist with operational audits and site assessments.
• Perform other related tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
• Experience:




• Proven leadership and team-building skills.
• Strong customer service focus, particularly in healthcare.
• Ability to solve problems effectively under pressure.
• Excellent communication skills with diverse stakeholders.
• Proficient in multitasking and maintaining professionalism.

Physical Demands:

• Willingness to work in the elements - heat, wind, snow, rain, etc.
