Job Summary The Operations & Planning Coordinator plays a critical role in enabling the effectiveness and execution of the Growth & Policy organization. This position drives operational structure-through processes, tools, and planning-while also providing seamless coordination and support to the Chief Growth & Policy Officer. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment and is energized by bringing organization, clarity, and discipline to complex work. Key Responsibilities Operations & Planning Build, document, and standardize processes, workflows, and team operating rhythms Develop andmaintainSOPs, playbooks, and centralized documentation (e.g., SharePoint) Support budget tracking, reporting, and resource planning activities Maintain Excel trackers, dashboards, and planning tools Coordinate cross-functional initiatives, timelines, and deliverables Identifyprocess gaps and drive continuous improvement Executive Coordination Manage scheduling, calendar alignment, and prioritization of commitments for the Chief Growth & Policy Officer Coordinate meetings, agendas, materials, and follow-ups Prepare briefing materials, summaries, and leadership updates Track action items and ensure follow-through across stakeholders Support travel and logistical coordination as needed Project & Stakeholder Coordination Track progress, dependencies, and risks across key initiatives Facilitate alignment across teams and functions Serve asa central pointof coordination to ensure clarity on priorities and deliverables Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience 8+ years of experience in operations, coordination, project support, or executive support Proficiencyin Microsoft Excel Experience supporting complex, cross-functional work Preferred Qualifications 8+ years ofExperience supporting senior leaders (VP+ or C-suite) Experience building processes or operational infrastructure from scratch Familiarity with SharePoint or similar tools Project management experience Key Skills Strong organizational and execution skills Ability to bring structure to ambiguous environments High attention to detail and follow-through Strong communicationand stakeholder coordination Discretion and professionalism in supporting senior leadership NRG Energy is committed to a drug and alcohol-free workplace.
