As the Court Operations Supervisor, you will oversee the operation and administrative functions of a particular area relating to various aspects of the court record for the Clerk of the Superior Court. These functions provide the public, the legal community, Courts, County, and other governmental agencies access to the judicial system and related public records, allowing them to pursue legal processes and/or obtain and maintain legal and financial records and information.

We Require

  • Five years of administrative experience in a legal and/or court environment

  • High School diploma or GED

  • Post-secondary education may substitute for two years of the experience requirement on a year-for-year basis

We Also Value

  • Supervisory or lead experience

Job Contributions

  • Oversee the operations of a designated judicial function of the Clerk's Office that may involve document and exhibit processing, customer service counters, electronic document management, and/or child support responsibilities

  • Provide direct supervision for up to 25 employees, including the hiring process, interviewing, progressive discipline, performance management, payroll processing, employee training, cross-training, monitoring of daily workflow, and staff coverage

  • Perform administrative tasks associated with the operation of a judicial function, including collecting statistical data, preparing detailed monthly reports, overseeing and assisting staff with extensive customer and/or case-type research, coordinating equipment maintenance schedules, and ensuring a clean, organized, safe work environment

  • Represent the Clerk's Office in meetings with the judiciary, court staff, internal and external departments, and agencies

  • Participate in organizational projects as well as identify and implement process enhancements and departmental procedures intended to improve service

  • Provide the highest level of service to internal and external customers

  • Support and exemplify the COSC Factors for Success - Thought, Results, People, Self

  • High-volume, fast-paced office setting with frequent stressful situations and extended periods of sitting while completing computer activities

  • Ability to frequently ascend and descend 1-3 steps to work area, with or without accommodation

  • Ability to travel to and from job-related locations during a scheduled workday, subject to County policies regarding the use of County vehicles or private vehicles used on County business

  • Valid Arizona driver's license is required upon hire
