The Parts Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Parts Department, including inventory management, shipping and receiving, warehousing, and material distribution activities. This role provides hands-on leadership to Parts and Material Handling personnel while actively supporting day-to-day operations as needed. The Parts Supervisor is responsible for employee training, safety adherence, inventory accuracy, process improvement, and achieving departmental performance goals. Compliance with all safety requirements, product quality standards, inventory control procedures, and company policies are essential functions of this role.
- Enforces safety guidelines and ensures compliance with all environmental, quality, and company standards.
- Balances safety, quality, inventory accuracy, cost, and delivery to achieve departmental objectives.
- Collaborates with management on departmental goals and communicates expectations to team members.
- Oversees and participates in receiving, inventory control, warehousing, material movement, and shipping activities to support production and customer needs.
- Monitors inventory accuracy through cycle counts, audits, and reconciliation activities and assists in resolving discrepancies.
- Ensures materials, parts, and supplies are available to support production schedules and customer commitments.
- Maintains organized warehouse operations and supports the safe operation and maintenance of material handling equipment.
- Assists with loading, unloading, stocking, picking, and staging materials as business needs require.
- Coordinates with internal departments, vendors, and transportation providers to ensure timely receipt and delivery of materials.
- Trains, coaches, and evaluates employees, including attendance tracking, performance management, and corrective actions when necessary.
- Ensures employees complete required safety and compliance training by scheduled due dates.
- Identifies and implements process improvements to enhance inventory control, material flow, and operational efficiency.

- High School or GED required.
- 3+ years of transformer or manufacturing supervision experience.
- Forklift experience preferred
- Advanced skills in MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) required.
- WMS (Warehouse Management System) experience preferred.
- OSHA10 certified preferred
- A proven track record in safety excellence is required.
- Adheres to all safety and environmental compliance regulations set by the organization. Notifies management immediately of any safety concerns, hazardous conditions, or injuries.
- Ability to interpret work orders and ensure the team has what they need to be set up for success to execute.
- Meet department and production goals set by manager.
- Ensure product quality meets company and client expectations.
- Possess a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, problem-solving abilities, cooperative attitude, strong attention to detail and can work in a team environment.

- Ability to work a flexible schedule and work under pressure in a fast-paced work environment.
- Physical requirements for this role include, but are not limited to the following:
- Lift 50lbs floor to waist and waist to shoulder multiple times
- Standing and walking for long durations
- Bending, squatting, and kneeling multiple times for long durations
- The ability to climb up and down a ladder multiple times
- Balance and stand on a ladder with three points of contact for extended periods
- Comfortable working in the heat and cold due to manufacturing facilities not being climate controlled
