Job Description

As a Business Analyst, supporting Demand Management Function within Visa's Technology management organization, you will manage a variety of functions including tracking Hardware asset deployments and partnering with technology stakeholders to assist with development, tracking and execution of multi-year technology strategy, budget projection and execution. You will support hardware purchases including maintenance renewals, and new purchases for technology refresh and organic growth. You will develop asset inventory baselines for major technology deals within Visa, writing business justifications, and execution to Visa procurement principles. You will get the chance to work with multiple teams, systems, and tools through a wide variety of data sources.

This position will gain an in-depth understanding of the business, strategic direction, organizational structure, and key vendor partnerships. You will help define success for IT financial efficiency and cost clarity programs by creating and tracking key metrics and developing consumption optimization programs.

Essential Functions

  • Assist product owners with execution of technology strategy, keeping a view of the operating expense impact of key decisions

  • Run SQL scripts to extract data from multiple data sources and have ability to normalize data based on product owner feedback

  • Identify expense reduction opportunities with product owners and create plans and tracking to ensure execution of cost reduction strategies

  • Review demand for new purchases with product owners, validate that the demand aligns with technology strategy and present analytics to compare Visa's usage of similar products within the category

  • Manage spend for a technology lane with specific knowledge to adherence to key Visa procurement rules while identifying strategies for purchases that do not meet the rules

  • Identify appropriate data sources to track deployment of assets across Visa and use the information across multiple sources to create infrastructure baseline

  • Lead the team in delivering work products on consumption reports as well as other key initiatives that will help the Technology leadership to make strategic decisions

  • Create and manage the budget for the IT technology lanes working in close partnership with the IT engineering teams and Business analyst team

  • Run sensitivity analysis and create cost models to determine best possible solution for Visa in support of technology purchase decisions

  • Work closely with Technology partners to understand the technical details for hardware purchases and create business justification for purchases

  • Draw actionable insights from raw data using strong quantitative skills and be able to influence stakeholder leadership to make informed decisions

GenAI Responsibilities:

  • Leverage Generative AI tools (such as Copilot, Claude, or similar platforms) to enhance data analysis, summarization, and business case development

  • Apply prompt engineering techniques to analyze complex data, documentation, and technical requirements, converting findings into actionable business insights

  • Identify opportunities to apply GenAI across demand management, financial analysis, and reporting workflows to increase efficiency

  • Drive GenAI initiatives with technology teams by leading analysis, shaping solution design, and supporting end-to-end implementation

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Science, Business Analytics, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Business or related field, graduating May 2025 - August 2026.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience working on large globally and virtually distributed teams, ideally within business analytics

* Experience in the following:

  • Dealing with different software licensing methods in the FinTech industry

  • SQL querying to help collect data from disparate sources

  • Creating cost transparency and cost clarity programs for leadership

* Analytical skills and experience using analytics tools such as Excel, MS Project, PowerPoint, Visio, etc.

* Technical industry experience and quantitative skills & experience taking raw data and drawing actionable insights from it

* Understanding of infrastructure products and the core concepts behind "running IT like a business"

GenAI Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with Generative AI tools (such as Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT/OpenAI, Google Gemini, or Claude) for business or analytics use cases

  • Basic understanding of AI/ML/GenAI concepts, including large language models, prompting, retrieval-augmented generation, and emerging agent-based workflows.

  • Ability to use AI tools to support data analysis, reporting, documentation, summarization, and workflow efficiency.

  • Ability to review, validate, and refine AI-generated outputs for accuracy, bias, and business relevance.

The estimated salary range for this positionis $77000 to $77000 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. Travel Requirements

This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.
