Overview

Beyond New Horizons, LLC (BNH) has an exciting opportunity for a Truck Driver supporting TOS II, at Arnold AFB Tennessee. The selected candidate will be working as a member of an integrated team responsible for [e.g. operating and maintaining or supporting] the United States Air Force Test Operations and Sustainment efforts.

Open to internal candidates only. The selected candidate for this requisition must be available to work any shift and shift determination will be made based on the priority of work at the time the selected candidate is cleared to report to work.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will under general supervision drive a variety of trucks, dump trucks, trailer vans, low-bed trailers, and others with load capacity up to 30 tons.

Job Duties:

    Operate variety of trucks, dump trucks, trailer vans, low-bed trailers, & others with load capacity of 30 tons
  • Operate special purpose vehicles as required
  • Tow heavy equipment
  • Assists in and directs proper loading or unloading of a variety of shipments
  • Assumes responsibility of cargo, accomplishes any tie downs as necessary
  • Checks items for correctness, and obtains signature of receiver at destination
  • Ensures safety of passengers, cargo, and vehicle
  • Schedules for pickups and deliveries to conserve time and expenses
  • Completes documents pertaining to pickup and delivery of cargo
  • Keeps vehicles in clean condition, makes minor repairs, and reports needed major repairs
  • Operates vehicles in a safe and efficient manner
  • When working with a composite crew, such as the furniture moving crew, assists laborers in carrying, loading, and unloading furniture and equipment
  • Maintains DOT logbook or other records as required
  • Adheres to all DOT rules and regulations
  • Participate in functional specific safety training
  • Must obtain and maintain explosives certification when assigned to ordnance operations
  • It is a condition of employment to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in accordance with supervisory direction and company policy
  • Perform other duties as required

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must possess a High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Three years of progressive experience as a Truck Driver
  • Valid State Class "A" Endorsement "X" Driver's License
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English well enough to understand, give, and take directions
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain security clearance and the AEDC local area network
  • Current U. S. Citizenship required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Active Secret clearance
  • Experience in refueling vehicles and equipment
