| Position Summary |
The Records Specialist focuses on the processes and accuracy of student records and the student experience as it relates to their record. This includes assisting with the management of student files and digitization efforts in the institution's imagining system (SoftDocs Etrieve).
This position serves as the point person for major/minor declaration processing, advisor assignments, the NC residency system (
RDS),
UNC Language Exchange, personal information updates such as legal name changes, transcript requests, and enrollment and degree verification requests. Assists students as needed via email, phone, and one-on-one meetings.
Another important duty is sharing in the management of the office email account. This is often the initial point of contact to the University for a number of constituents (student, parents, prospective students, alumni, faculty/staff, and the public) and requires a high level of customer service. Other duties include Registrar Forms processing; Serves as a backup for transfer articulation when needed; Assists in the day-to-day functions of the Office of the Registrar and performs other duties as assigned. |

| Work Schedule and Hours |
Typical office hours are Monday- Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Additional hours may be needed on evenings and weekends to meet the needs of the department. |
