Accounting Clerk (Tacoma, WA)

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team at Recovery 1, a Waste Connections company, in Tacoma, WA. Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM (In Office)
Pay Range: $27-$30 per hour

Key Responsibilities

• Perform month-end close procedures

• Post payments, maintain customer accounts, and process adjustments in the ERP system

• Manage daily cash applications and cash management tasks

• Maintain accurate accounts receivable aging

• Process customer refunds

• Manage pricing updates and contract rate maintenance

• Generate daily reports, monthly invoices, and mid-month statements

• Respond to customer inquiries related to accounts receivable promptly and professionally

• Process and review customer credit applications

• Maintain organized and accurate AR documentation and filing systems

• Support additional tasks as needed by the Corporate Accounts Receivable team

Qualifications & Experience

• 2+ years of accounting or accounts receivable experience preferred

• Experience with A/R and general ledger integrated systems is a plus

• Strong understanding of basic accounting principles

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Strong organizational and time management abilities

• Self-motivated with a close attention to detail

• Customer service experience is highly valued
