What You Will Do as a Maintenance Mechanic:

This position will be responsible for all aspects of maintaining and repairing the distribution facility's infrastructure and equipment.

The maintenance team's responsibilities include the categories below, along with other duties as required to ensure uninterrupted business output.

  • Both planned and unplanned maintenance and repairs on motorized conveyors, robotic picking equipment, and all the equipment operating in the distribution facility.
  • Industrial and facility maintenance activities, including maintaining and repairing the facility grounds, gates, plumbing, lighting, fire sprinkler systems, electrical, production, and shipping equipment.
  • An ideal candidate will have experience repairing and maintaining sewing machines such as Barudan, Brother, PFAFF, and Juki.
  • Must be independently competent to accomplish tasks and take initiative to correct deficiencies.
  • Meeting the daily scheduled PM's and maintenance repair requests with a customer service focus.
  • Following directions, paying attention to details, and communicating progress and issues in a timely manner.
  • Competent use of various hand and power tools.
  • Working well with and around others without being distracted from job duties.

As a Maintenance Mechanic at Workwear Outfitters, you will make a difference by keeping the production and distribution lines running seamlessly. Your daily efforts directly ensure that essential industries, including specialized first responders and industrial workers, receive the high-quality uniforms and protective gear they need. You will make an impact by maximizing equipment uptime, driving preventive maintenance, prioritizing workplace safety, and minimizing downtime.

Skills for Success:

  • 1+ Years of related industrial maintenance experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent education. Technical or trade school candidates are preferred.
  • Candidates with industrial controls and PLC knowledge are preferred.
  • Previous maintenance experience is preferred.
  • Ongoing compliance with attendance policies is a must.
  • We look for safety-minded team members who think and act safely.
  • Must be able to safely operate a scissor lift, forklift, and other vehicles.
  • Must have good communication and computer skills.
  • Must be able to lift as much as 50 pounds on occasion.
  • Must be able to climb and work at heights.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Some overtime will be required when needed. Some Saturday work is planned and to be expected.
