We are seeking a detail-oriented Port Quality Auditor to support vehicle quality operations during the startup phase of a new model launch. This role is responsible for conducting comprehensive daily vehicle audits to ensure quality standards are met prior to distribution. The successful candidate will work closely with the Port Quality Team and customer representatives, performing inspections on approximately 40 vehicles per day across multiple Georgia-produced vehicle models.

This position requires strong observational skills, the ability to identify and document defects, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of vehicle quality and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Vehicle Quality Audits



  • Conduct daily quality audits on approximately 40 vehicles.
  • Perform inspections at various stages, including:


    • Final Line Quality Audits
    • Quality Check Audits at First Point of Rest (FPOR)


  • Follow customer-specific audit procedures and special checklists provided during EWR meetings.
  • Accurately document inspection findings and communicate concerns to the appropriate stakeholders.



Interior Inspection & Evaluation



  • Inspect vehicle interiors for quality, fit and finish, cleanliness, and overall appearance.
  • Verify proper operation of vehicle features and functions.
  • Ensure all required materials, documentation, and accessories are present.
  • Conduct interior cleaning activities using approved towels and cleaning products when necessary.



Exterior Inspection & Evaluation



  • Examine vehicle exteriors for paint quality, scratches, dents, blemishes, and other damage.
  • Verify overall appearance and readiness for customer delivery.
  • Assess body panels, trim components, and exterior features for proper installation and condition.



Mechanical & Option Verification



  • Inspect under-hood areas for:


    • Proper fluid levels and capacities
    • Fluid leaks or other concerns


  • Verify proper installation and functionality of PIL (Pre-Installed Logistics) components and pre-installed options.
  • Confirm FFG compliance and validate hang tags, labels, and required materials.
  • Ensure all customer and quality requirements are met prior to vehicle release.



Reporting & Communication



  • Maintain accurate inspection records and audit documentation.
  • Utilize Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for reporting, tracking trends, and communicating findings.
  • Collaborate effectively with quality, production, and customer teams to address concerns and support corrective actions.
  • Participate in meetings and provide feedback regarding vehicle quality performance.



Required Qualifications



  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to effectively inspect and evaluate vehicles for both appearance and functional quality.
  • Ability to identify, document, and communicate defects and non-conformances.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform vehicle inspections throughout the workday.



Preferred Qualifications



  • Previous vehicle inspection, quality auditing, or quality assurance experience.
  • Automotive manufacturing, dealership, logistics, or port operations experience.
  • Familiarity with vehicle systems, features, and functionality.
