Manufacturing Process Engineer - Automotive Manufacturing
Ready to make an impact in a fast-paced automotive manufacturing environment? We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Process Engineer to support axle assembly operations, improve production processes, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. This temporary opportunity is ideal for engineering professionals who thrive on solving complex manufacturing challenges and delivering measurable results.
Key Responsibilities:


  • Support manufacturing process engineering for axle assembly operations
  • Drive continuous improvement in safety, quality, productivity, and efficiency
  • Lead manufacturing equipment installation, commissioning, and process validation projects
  • Analyze production issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions
  • Conduct process audits and ergonomic evaluations to improve performance and compliance
  • Develop work instructions, process documentation, and quality procedures
  • Lead lean manufacturing, variability reduction, and throughput improvement initiatives
  • Support assembly operations by delivering capable, repeatable manufacturing processes
  • Ensure compliance with plant, environmental, and corporate standards


Qualifications:


  • 5+ years of Manufacturing Process Engineering experience
  • Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Process Validation, Problem Solving, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
  • Experience with process improvement, assembly operations, and manufacturing equipment
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills
  • High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Experience with Six Sigma, FMEA, PPAP, DOE, Gauge R&R, capability studies, and ergonomic analysis is a plus
  • Automotive manufacturing experience, especially axle or powertrain components, preferred
