Description
AVO Technician: AVO inspections are a regulatory and operational method used to detect leaks, emissions, and equipment issues by using human senses-hearing, sight, and smell-primarily in oil, gas, and refinery operations. Overview Audio, Visual, and Olfactory (AVO) inspections are key components of leak detection and emissions compliance programs in industrial facilities, particularly in oil and gas operations. These inspections rely on trained personnel to detect abnormal sounds, visible emissions, or unusual odors from equipment such as storage tanks, compressors, valves, and piping. AVO inspections are often performed monthly to minimize fugitive emissions and ensure compliance with environmental regulations like the EPA's Quad O rules (OOOOa, OOOOb, OOOOc) and CFR Part 60, Subpart OOOO. Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
