Description
Job Title: Document Controller
Location: Jamaica, NY (This is a hybrid role that includes time working on-site but also allows the flexibility to work remotely too.)
Employment Type: 12-month contract
Industry: Transportation Manufacturing
Compensation: $25-$30/hour
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM-2:30 PM (must have some flexibility with hours to meet business needs)
About the Opportunity:
The Document Controller oversees the management, control, and integrity of all site documentation to support safe, reliable, and efficient AirTrain operations. This role ensures all technical, operational, maintenance, safety, and administrative documents are accurate, current, properly controlled, and readily accessible in accordance with Port Authority policies, contractual requirements, and applicable regulatory and quality standards. The position involves coordinating document workflows, supporting technical documentation development, and ensuring compliance with established procedures governing document control and records management.

What You'll Do:
  • Manage critical compliance documentation for important processes, ensuring submissions are completed accurately and approved on time.
  • Coordinate meetings, capture updates, and incorporate changes into documentation for approval and publication.
  • Handle multiple directives and technical/corporate documents across operations.
  • Maintain document control, including revisions, numbering, signatures, filing systems, and content updates.
  • Prioritize and reorganize documents to keep projects moving and ensure compliance requirements are met.
  • Support implementation of procedures such as Lockout/Tagout and other operational documentation updates.
Job Requirements
What You'll Bring:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in document control, compliance, or technical documentation
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience utilizing Microsoft Office, Excel, PDF editing software, and document management systems (SharePoint)

  • Upon offer of employment, the individual will be subject to a background check and a drug screen
