About Cabana Bay Laundry

Join the team at our state-of-the-art laundry and warehouse facility in Apopka, Florida.

What We're Looking For:

A skilled and safety-focused Wash Person I (Tunnel Operator) to oversee the operation of our continuous batch washer (CBW) system/tunnel. This critical role ensures efficient, high-volume processing of linens and textiles while maintaining strict standards of cleanliness, equipment performance, and workflow coordination.

Who You Are:

* Technically proficient with industrial laundry systems and automated controls
* Detail-oriented and capable of troubleshooting computer panel and process issues
* Safety-driven with a strong understanding of chemical handling and machine operation
* Able to work independently while coordinating with multiple areas on the laundry
* Comfortable working in a warm, fast-paced production setting
* Committed to maintaining high standards of hygiene and quality throughout the linen cycle\

What You Will Do:

* Operate and monitor the tunnel washer system, including loading conveyors, press extractors, and transfer shuttles

* Program and adjust wash formulas based on linen type, soil level, and vendor machine specifications

* Ensure proper chemical dosing and water levels for optimal wash performance

* Perform routine checks on temperature, cycle timing, and mechanical functions

* Identify and resolve minor equipment issues, escalating complex problems to on site engineers

* Coordinate with soil sort and finishing teams to maintain continuous workflow and production

* Track production metrics and report throughput, downtime, and quality concerns

* Conduct daily inspections of equipment prior to and post shift

* Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety and sanitation protocols

Your Experience Includes:

  • Minimum of six (6) months of experience in a high-volume laundry operation is preferred.

  • Familiarity with tunnel washers or automated laundry systems is preferred.

  • Must be able to maintain production reports and quotas.

  • Comfortable working in hot, humid, and noisy environments.

  • Must be guest-service orientated and have excellent hospitality skills.

  • Ability to regularly push, pull, lift up to 50 lbs

  • Ability to communicate effectively in English verbally with team members, leaders and guests required.

  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, nights, weekends and holidays as required.
