Overview (Scope of Role)

The Pipefitter/Millwright supports operation of Trinseo Midland Operations Styrene Polymers and Latex plants. Troubleshoots repairs and maintains plant mechanical equipment to include rotating equipment, pipelines, and Process containment equipment consistent with Business standards and policies. Organizes and maintains repair shop to allow for productive work environment consistent with industry standards. Understands and follows all plant policies and work processes including day-to-day activities.



Responsibilities

POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    Troubleshoot, maintain rotating mechanical equipment
  • Measure/sketch/repair planting piping circuits
  • Participate in plant Reliability/Improvement projects
  • Stay current on all required Safety Training


Qualifications

EXPERIENCE

  • Millwright Journeyman or equivalent industry experience
  • Pipefitter Journeyman or equivalent industry experience
  • Minimum 5+ years experience in Chemical processing industry

ABILITY AND KNOWLEDGE

  • Experienced in general pump repair/ rebuilds
  • Experienced in pipefitting trade
  • Computer skills for effective communication and information gathering
  • Interpersonal skills for effective communication with plant and non-plant personnel
  • Ability and experience to troubleshoot and repair various types of mechanical equipment related to the Latex and Styrenics process.
  • Ability and experience to complete pipefitter task to include Measuring/sketching and installation of Process piping.
  • Understands and utilize outside resources to facilitate timely and sustained equipment repairs.
  • Understand and utilize Work Processes
