Site Maintenance Technician II / Field Service Engineer Direct Hire Albany, NY Position Summary Responsible for performing installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and support activities on semiconductor equipment and automated material handling systems. This role supports customers onsite, performs hardware and software diagnostics, analyzes logs, resolves technical issues, and serves as a liaison between customers and engineering teams. The ideal candidate will have semiconductor field service or maintenance experience, strong electromechanical troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work independently in a customer-facing environment. Key Responsibilities Equipment Maintenance & Troubleshooting Perform maintenance and repair activities on multiple products and systems. Troubleshoot hardware, software, and system-level issues. Perform log analysis and diagnostics to identify root causes. Analyze software revisions and system documentation. Install software updates and verify system functionality. Technical Support Support customer operations and maintenance activities. Work closely with engineering teams to resolve technical issues. Recommend technical solutions and corrective actions. Serve as a liaison between customers and engineering. Training & Documentation Train customer technicians and internal field service personnel. Create and update technical procedures and documentation. Complete technical reports and service documentation accurately. Customer Interaction Communicate professionally with customers and internal teams. Present technical information clearly and effectively. Maintain a strong customer service mindset. Required Qualifications Education Associate Degree preferred Technical School Certification accepted Military Technical Training accepted Experience 4+ years of field service, maintenance, or semiconductor equipment experience Experience troubleshooting electromechanical equipment Experience working directly with customers in a technical environment Technical Skills Electrical troubleshooting Mechanical troubleshooting Reading electrical schematics and blueprints Hardware and software diagnostics Log analysis Microsoft Office Suite Windows-based systems Soft Skills Strong troubleshooting abilities Excellent communication skills Customer-focused mindset Ability to work independently Leadership and mentoring capabilities Strong documentation skills Preferred Experience Semiconductor industry experience Automated Material Handling Systems (AMHS) Cleanroom environments Equipment installation and startup Factory certifications on semiconductor equipment Estimated Min Rate: $49504.00 Estimated Max Rate: $70720.00 What's In It for You?
