| Primary Purpose of Organizational Unit |
The Office of Interprofessional Education and Practice (OIPEP) serves as a liaison between the participating OIPEP Schools, University partners, and agencies and professional organizations at the state and national level. The goal of OIPEP is to oversee the creation, implementation, and dissemination of interprofessional education, research, and clinical experiences designed to enhance collaborative learning across the UNC system. The Office of Interprofessional Education and Practice is searching for an energetic, team-oriented individual to manage administrative duties and provide program coordination for interprofessional education and experiential learning at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. |
| Position Summary |
This position may be eligible for a hybrid work arrangement that may include a partially remote work location, consistent with System Office policy. UNC Chapel Hill employees are generally required to reside within a reasonable commuting distance of their assigned duty station. Academic Excellence is a unit within the Division of Student Success led by the Senior Associate Provost for Academic Excellence and which includes the Office of Interprofessional Education and Practice (OIPEP) and the Office of Health Professions Advising (OHPA). OIPEP and OHPA are searching for an energetic, team-oriented individual to manage administrative duties and provide program coordination for interprofessional education, health professions advising and experiential learning at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. The Office Manager and Program Coordinator is a direct report to Deputy Director of Interprofessional Health Initiatives and serves in an administrative and program support role for OIPEP and OHPA and may support other departments within Academic Excellence, as needed. The goal of OIPEP is to oversee the creation, implementation, and dissemination of interprofessional education, research, and clinical experiences designed to enhance collaborative learning across the UNC system. OIPEP functions as a liaison between the participating OIPEP Schools, University partners, and agencies and professional organizations at the state and national level. OHPA supports UNC-Chapel Hill students and alumni pursuing careers in health professions. Through strategic collaboration with health professions programs and campus and external partners, OHPA serves as a trusted resource for information and guidance. This office empowers students through their health professions journey, from exploration to matriculation, helping them to become competitive and well-prepared future healthcare professionals. This position is the lead for administrative processes and ensures OIPEP and OHPA's day-to-day business continuity by providing comprehensive project/program management to faculty, staff, and students. This includes event planning and execution, communications, as well as financial and human resources assistance, serving as a liaison in the Health Professions Collaborative and serving as primary contact for the public. This position must analyze, prioritize, and keep track of multiple pieces of complex and often confidential information in order to make accurate, efficient recommendations regarding workflow, and provide facilitation and processing of information. All of the above must be done in line with priorities that adapt to evolving needs and demands from within OIPEP, OHPA, and partners. This position will provide project/program management for educational initiatives at OIPEP related to the interprofessional program services. This includes (1) developing and maintaining collaborative work relationships internally within the program, among strategic partners, and externally with affiliated partner institutions; (2) assessing and responding to key stakeholder needs; and (3) contributing to the development, planning, and implementation of new initiatives. This individual also provides leadership to work study students and supports the office staff. |
| Minimum Education and Experience Requirements |
Bachelor's degree and one year of experience related to the area of assignment; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions. |
| Management Preferences |
*Knowledge of University financial systems.
*Proficiency with Learning Management Systems (such as Canvas).
*Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel.
*Strong organizational project management skills.
*Knowledge or experience with interprofessional education. |
