Our Team

You will work within the Shipping & Logistics team that coordinates daily outbound operations, carrier interactions, and customer-facing shipment requirements. The team partners closely with Customer Service, Warehouse Operations, and Billing to ensure on-time delivery and accurate invoicing. This role is 1st Shift coverage with availability needed up until 5pm depending on business needs.

What You Will Do

  • Own the integrity of outbound shipments: confirm contents, documentation, and carrier requirements before release.
  • Coordinate shipping preparation and carrier handoff to meet schedule, cost, and service expectations.
  • Maintain accurate records and systems of shipment status so stakeholders have visibility and invoices are correct.
  • Resolve discrepancies and coordinate with Customer Service and Operations to remove shipment holds or address issues.
  • Support continuous improvement by identifying recurring problems and suggesting process improvements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Other duties may be assigned)

  • Compares physical goods to accompanying documents and reports discrepancies.
  • Enters information into computer to generate packing lists and to record freight information for invoicing.
  • Follows instructions on packing lists for all shipping criteria.
  • Combines individual celled boxes into appropriate larger container for shipment.
  • Assembles cardboard containers or selects preassembled containers.
  • Affixes shipping labels, identifying information and/or shipping instructions onto crates or containers.
  • Posts weight and shipping charges and affixes postage.
  • Prepares and maintains appropriate documentation for each freight carrier.
  • Processes all outgoing mail.
  • Processes paperwork for foreign shipments and coordinates with customer service as needed.
  • Maintains related records.
  • Totals daily shipments and monitors shipments on hold status.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • High School Diploma, GED, or vocational/technical degree.
  • Three months to two years of related experience or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience using CRT-based systems or comparable terminal/data-entry environments.
  • Able to read and interpret safety rules, operating/maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; able to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Basic numeracy: able to add, subtract, multiply, divide, compute rates, ratios, and percents; follow written, oral, or diagram instructions.

What Will Put You Ahead (Preferred Qualifications)

  • Familiarity with international shipping paperwork (commercial invoice, customs forms, AES filing).
  • Strong attention to detail with demonstrated record of reducing shipping errors.
  • Experience working with multiple freight carriers and generating freight invoices.
