To get where we're going, we need big thinkers, problem solvers and collaborative mindsets. Does that sound like you? The Opportunity with McKinstry McKinstry is looking to add a Project Engineer - Offsite Manufacturing to our growing Offsite Manufacturing team in Spokane, WA. This role sits at the operational center of a value stream - coordinating daily production activity across HVAC piping, mechanical equipment, structural steel, electrical systems, and controls to keep complex customer programs on schedule and on budget. If you have a background in construction trades or MEP project coordination and want to grow your career building large-scale modular assemblies for some of the most demanding infrastructure projects in the country, this may be the right opportunity for you. Daily Operations & Schedule Coordination As a Project Engineer - Offsite Manufacturing, you will own day-to-day coordination of production activity within an assigned value stream or production line. You will track material readiness across mechanical, piping, structural, electrical, and controls scopes - sequencing fabrication work orders against the build schedule and proactively flagging shortages or conflicts before they impact the floor. You will maintain accurate records in ERP and scheduling systems and generate regular status reports that give the broader program team a clear picture of production health. Cross-Functional Team Coordination You will serve as the operational link between fabrication trade leads, supply chain, logistics, engineering, and quality. This means attending and facilitating daily standups, coordinating inbound material delivery timing with supply chain and logistics leads, supporting engineering-to-fabrication handoffs across disciplines, and helping resolve shop floor issues as they arise. You will build strong working relationships with trade foremen, subcontractors, and vendors, and represent the value stream in internal program execution meetings. Documentation & Reporting This role is responsible for creating and maintaining coordination documentation across the value stream - including production schedules, material tracking logs, delivery calendars, and contract status reports. You will assist in processing submittals and vendor information packages, track RFIs and change order documentation, and support billing and financial reporting as directed by the Value Stream Manager. Accuracy and timeliness in reporting is a core success measure for this role. Continuous Improvement McKinstry's Offsite Manufacturing team operates in a lean culture where every team member is expected to identify waste and contribute to improving how we work. You will participate in kaizen events, help develop and maintain standardized work documentation, and support 5S initiatives across the shop floor. What You Need To Succeed At McKinstry
