As a Security Officer Patrol Escort in Chicago, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a renowned educational and cultural location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication to students, staff, and visitors. What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an educational and public-facing location.
• Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant details to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, exhibit areas, common spaces, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor flow, assist with directions and general information, and support site rules for restricted areas, events, and/or after-hours activity.
• Document observed conditions, incidents, and/or interactions in a clear manner, and report maintenance, access control, and other security-related issues according to site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
• Be 21 years of age or older.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
