Worley is a global professional services company of energy, chemicals and resources experts. We partner with customers to deliver projects and create value over the life of their assets. We're bridging two worlds, moving towards more sustainable energy sources, while helping to provide the energy, chemicals and resources needed now.

Play an integral role in ensuring that critical project materials and equipment are delivered on time and aligned with project execution priorities. As a Senior Expeditor, you operate at the center of supply chain performance, connecting suppliers, procurement, and project teams to maintain momentum and mitigate risk. You bring visibility to progress, anticipate challenges before they impact delivery, and help drive solutions that keep complex projects on track.

Purpose of the role

You will be responsible for leading expediting activities across projects or supervising a team of expeditors to ensure suppliers meet purchase order requirements, particularly delivery schedules. This role provides continuous insight into supplier performance, identifies risks early, and develops practical recovery strategies to protect project timelines. You contribute directly to supply management strategy and execution, ensuring alignment between procurement commitments and project delivery objectives.

Core Responsibilities

  • Lead expediting efforts on major projects or oversee a team of expeditors, providing direction, prioritization, and technical guidance
  • Monitor supplier progress against purchase order requirements, with a strong focus on delivery schedules and milestone adherence
  • Gather, validate, and analyze supplier data to measure performance against contractual obligations
  • Provide clear, timely reporting to project and supply management teams, highlighting risks, delays, and recovery plans
  • Develop and implement mitigation strategies to address schedule risks and maintain project momentum
  • Participate in or lead Supply Management strategy development and execution for assigned projects
  • Identify and communicate commercial and delivery risks, advising stakeholders on potential impacts and solutions
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with procurement, engineering, project controls, and construction teams to align priorities
  • Support continuous improvement of expediting systems, tools, and processes, including troubleshooting and mentoring others
  • Act as a senior advisor within the function, sharing expertise and supporting capability development across the team

What you'll bring to the role

You bring a blend of technical expertise, commercial awareness, and strong communication skills, allowing you to operate effectively in a fast-paced, project-driven environment. You are comfortable leading others, influencing stakeholders, and making decisions that balance risk, cost, and schedule.

  • A university degree in supply chain, engineering, business, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience
  • Typically 7+ years of relevant experience in expediting, procurement, or supply chain within energy, chemicals, or resources industries
  • Advanced understanding of supplier performance management, delivery tracking, and expediting methodologies
  • Proven ability to lead project teams or functional groups, including assigning work and providing ongoing guidance
  • Strong analytical capability to interpret supplier data and translate it into actionable insights

  • Confidence in preparing and delivering reports, presentations, and recommendations to stakeholders and leadership
  • Working knowledge of supply chain systems, tools, and processes, with the ability to troubleshoot and support others
