Senior Financial Analyst
Addison, TX - 3 days onsite

One of Vaco's PE-backed clients is looking to hire a Senior Analyst as part of a newly-created role to help take some of the reporting and analytical responsibilities off of the Managers plate. Vaco placed the person this reports to and they've given us great feedback on workplace culture and the work itself.

The company is rapidly growing (multiple portfolio companies) organically and via multiple acquisitions. Day to day involves gross margin analysis, building financial reporting packages and board decks, and KPI reporting.

Compensation: $95-105K

Day-to-Day
  • Lead the annual budgeting process, quarterly forecasting, and long-range planning
  • Build and maintain complex financial models to support strategic initiatives and business decisions
  • Analyze financial performance, including variance analysis (actual vs. budget/forecast/prior year)
  • Deliver actionable insights to senior leadership on key drivers of performance
  • Partner with functional leaders (operations, sales, HR, etc.) to understand business drivers and improve financial outcomes
  • Translate financial data into clear, concise recommendations for non-financial stakeholders
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and board-level reporting packages for executive leadership and private equity sponsors
  • Develop KPIs and dashboards to track business performance and operational efficiency
  • Assist in lender reporting and covenant compliance as needed
  • Evaluate capital allocation decisions and ROI on key investments

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (MBA or CPA a plus)
  • 4-7+ years of experience in FP&A, investment banking, consulting, or related fields
  • Experience in a private equity-backed or high-growth environment strongly preferred
  • Advanced Excel skills (financial modeling required); experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau) a plus
