How You'll Help Transform Healthcare:The Maintenance Training and Safety Specialist responsible for conducting OSHA training, maintaining training records, scheduling training for mechanics, and managing the Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), confined space, and all other safety programs. Performs safety inspections and ensures compliance with safety protocols. Oversees new employee onboarding and facilitates contractor/vendor training. Collaborates with management to identify staff training needs, ensuring the delivery of excellent customer service and adherence to company values, ethical standards, and policies.
  • Performs OSHA training for all mechanics and trades.
  • Maintains all training records and certifications for staff.
  • Schedules training for mechanics.
  • Manages LOTO program.
  • Conducts safety inspections of equipment, tools and workspaces.
  • Issues permits for hot work, above ceiling and confined space work.
  • Works with management to identify training needs for maintenance staff.
  • Develops, conducts and ensures new employee onboarding is effective and completed for all trades.
  • Conducts contractor and vendor training.
  • Uses knowledge of hazardous materials to ensure compliance with regulations.

Works to provide safety and general training knowledge. Work is performed inside and outside in all weather conditions. The role involves performing regular safety inspections of equipment, tools, and workspaces to ensure compliance with safety protocols. Must be able to properly assess, prioritize and appropriately handle a variety of situations. No supervisory responsibilities or duties. Communication commonly occurs with people who have similar or different functions inside or outside the organization. Requires substantial computer work while in a seated or standing position in performance of duties. Also utilizes advanced technical equipment as needed. The role requires collaboration with management to identify and address training needs for maintenance staff, aiming to improve skills and safety awareness.


What We Require:

Education: Associate's degree in safety preferred. 4 years of experience in safety and education in lieu of degree.

Experience:Minimum of 4 years of experience in safety and education required

Licensure, certification, and/or registration:OSHA 10, OHSA 30. ICRA 2.0 (Certification within 6 months of employment)

Life Support: N/A

Other Minimum Qualifications: Proficient in Microsoft word, PowerPoint. General knowledge of construction, maintenance of facility and equipment. Ability to develop present training classes to small and large groups. Knowledge of infection control and prevention.
