Job Overview
The Sustainability Sourcing Manager is responsible for the development and implementation of T-Mobile's sustainability projects and strategic programs to assist T-Mobile in achieving business initiatives. Maintains and monitors our sustainability and supply chain efforts and ongoing operations to support the current and future work demands and project deliverables. Supports cross-functional groups, working with auditors, consultants, and business units to achieve sustainability targets, and drives strategic initiatives. This also includes sustainability plan management, tracking/resolution, project status communication and risk assessment.
Job Responsibilities:
- Requires knowledge and proficiency in a wide range of global sustainability issues, customer focus, change & innovation, strategic thinking, relationship building & influencing, talent management and results focused
- Support for the governance around portfolio operations involving LEED, REC, Net Zero, water conservation, waste/circular economy, and other sustainable operations frameworks
- Working in sustainability team to implement new technologies, identify cost savings opportunities, leading initiatives, tracking, and engaging the platform team on issues related to sustainability management
- Participate in the selection and management of suppliers with environmental / sustainability impacts, including but not limited to waste, energy, water, hazardous materials, supply chain, construction, transportation, and environmental auditing
- Facilitate audits of environmentally select suppliers and their respective manufacturing processes to evaluate potential sustainability and environmental affairs risks
- Prepare annual GHG inventory reporting to recognized sustainability standards and manage verification process. Presentations of periodic sustainability status and variance reports
- Ensure auditing controls are created and compliance is achieved to meet Sox requirements and future SEC reporting standards
- Supplier management - supporting the evolution of supplier management through supplier scorecard development and supplier quarterly business reviews
- Liaise with technical personnel to interpret technical specifications to commercial and corporate financial requirements
- Technology Liaison- support technology in the evolution and expansion of our energy & sustainability portfolio. Assuring long term strategic partnerships with suppliers that are innovative, flexible, and adaptive to our technological needs. Seeks out and evaluates new technologies to integrate into our facilities and network equipment that lowers environmental footprint
Education and Work Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree plus 3 years of related work experience OR advanced degree with 1 year of related work experience OR combination of education and experience deemed equivalent (Required)
- Acceptable areas of study include Sustainability (Required)
- 4-7 years - Experience in a combination of, Corporate Social Responsibility, Supplier Diversity and Sustainability practices and programs (Required)
- 4-7 years - Proven experience developing and implementing business strategy, extensive business case writing, strong background in market intelligence research, and proficient in negotiation strategy and tactics (Preferred)
- 4-7 years - Experience in GHG protocols and reporting (Required)
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Expertise in negotiating terms and managing contracts with suppliers to ensure favorable terms and cost savings. (Required)
- Strategic Sourcing - Ability to develop and implement strategic sourcing strategies that align with corporate objectives. (Preferred)
- Proficient user of LEED Online, NetZero Cloud, ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager. (Required)
- Financial Analysis - Proven financial acumen. (Required)
- Project Management - Capability to balance multiple sourcing projects, ensuring they meet timelines and corporate standards. (Preferred)
- Analytics Strong analytical skills to assess energy and sustainability data and make informed decisions. (Required)
- Problem Solving - Ability to identify issues in the procurement process and develop effective solutions. (Required)
- Business Insight - Understanding of market trends and business principles relevant to procurement and supply chain management. (Required)
- Leadership Skills in leading teams and projects, encouraging a collaborative and results driven enviornment (Preferred)
- Microsoft Excel- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting in sourcing activities. (Required)
Licenses and Certifications:
- Sustainability Frameworks Certifications Knowledge of sustainability frameworks, certifications, and principles such as the Triple Bottom Line, Energy Star, LEED, Kyoto Protocol (Preferred)
- At least 18 years of age

Base Pay Range: $88,100 - $158,800
Corporate Bonus Target: 15%

At T-Mobile, employees in regular, non-temporary roles are eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus, based on their role. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employee's eligible earnings in the prior year.
