Fortress Nutrition is growing-and we're looking for a detail-driven, accountable Quality Technician to support our high-speed beverage canning operations. Our 4x12 schedule is designed to give you more flexibility and balance-while still earning full-time hours and even double pay for hours >50 per week!


Schedule: Night Shift (4x12s)
  • Monday - Thursday: 8:00 PM - 6:30 AM
  • 3-day weekends (Friday-Sunday)
*Overtime may be required on Fridays or weekends (up to max 8-hour shifts) based on production or sanitation needs - voluntary basis first!*

Training Period:
Hands-on training to ensure confidence with systems, processes, and quality standards before transitioning to nights.
  • 2-4 weeks on 1st Shift: Monday - Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM / 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

What You'll Do
  • Perform quality control testing on raw materials, in-process, and finished goods

  • Collect and prepare samples for third-party laboratory testing

  • Calibrate and maintain laboratory instrumentation (pH meters, titrators, Brix/density tools, etc.)

  • Communicate quality data and provide guidance to production teams

  • Ensure all documentation (MMRs, logs, test records) is completed accurately and in real time following Good Documentation Practices

  • Support audits from regulatory and third-party bodies

  • Conduct environmental monitoring and testing programs

  • Follow and enforce all quality standards, including GMPs, sanitation practices, etc.

  • Assist with calibration programs and customer complaint investigations

  • Cross-train to support full quality coverage across shifts

  • Support team operations through hour flexibility/overtime as needed

  • Perform all other duties as assigned by leadership

What We're Looking For
Required:
  • High School Diploma or GED

  • 2+ years of Quality Control experience

  • 2+ years of laboratory experience with instrumentation (pH meters, titrators, Brix/density, etc.)

  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook/Office

  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English

  • Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work independently and as part of a team

  • Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed


Must operate with a high sense of urgency and accuracy. This role requires real-time testing, documentation, and immediate response to quality deviations. Delays, missed details, or incomplete documentation can impact product quality and compliance. Individuals who are not detail-oriented, proactive, and highly accountable will not be successful in this role.

Preferred:
  • Experience in food, beverage, bottling, canning, or other regulated/controlled working environments
  • Knowledge of GMPs, food safety, and quality standards
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand/walk for extended periods (up to 10 hours per shift)

  • Occasional lifting, pushing, pulling up to 50lbs

  • Bending, kneeling, climbing (stairs/platforms), and operating equipment

  • Talking, hearing; reaching above shoulders; using hands to finger, handle, grasp, pinch or touch objects, controls, tools or equipment


Pay & Benefits
  • Starting Pay: $24.00 - $26.00 per hour (based on experience)

  • Additional $1.00/hour Late Shift Premium

  • Double Time Pay for 50+ hours/week
