The estimated base salary range for this role pays up to $25.30 per hour.

This is an intermediate level position under the direction of the Maintenance Manager. A Maintenance Technician works independently within established procedures focused on machinery, equipment, and tools ensuring they are kept in good working order within all areas of the business. Responsible for maintaining machinery and equipment ensuring that they are operating at peak performance and troubleshooting any problems with the machines; performs preventative maintenance while working operators to ensure they understand how best to use the machines, so they don't break down unexpectedly during shift.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.

  • Installs, troubleshoots, repairs machinery and mechanical equipment, and performs highly diversified preventative maintenance operations.
  • Performs scheduled plant preventive maintenance activities on machines, equipment, and plant facilities as well as emergency and unscheduled repairs with the objective of optimizing plant performance and plant operating efficiency.
  • Reads manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and services.
  • Diagnoses problems, replaces or repairs parts, tests and makes adjustments.
  • Detects faulty operations, defective materials, and reports any unusual situations to management.
  • Utilizes a computer, to prepare documents, use work order system, and maintain records
  • Maintains repairs parts and supply inventory.
  • Maintains tools, vehicles, equipment, and work areas in a clean, safe condition.
  • Complies with and ensures that peers and subcontractors demonstrate safe work practices in compliance with Federal, State, and local codes and with company safety policies and procedures.
  • Conduct safety inspections on assigned vehicles, plant equipment and facilities.
  • May work weekend, holiday, or emergency shifts independently with and without supervision.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to operate machinery and technical equipment
  • Must have In-depth knowledge of system maintenance
  • Must have basic word processing and computer database skills.
  • Knowledge of occupational hazards and standard safety practices

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
  • Due to the open environment of the warehouse, must be able to work in various weather and temperature conditions to include extreme heat, humidity and cold

  1. Office Environment - This position does not operate in a professional office environment and is not exposed to adverse environmental conditions.
  2. Plant Environment - This position operates in a manufacturing setting and can be subject to extreme cold and hot temperatures; uneven walking surfaces with cords, tools, and other obstacles; intermittent loud noises; and dusty/dirty conditions. Where applicable PPE is required. PPE includes hard hats, safety glasses, earplugs, steel toe/composite boots, and fall protection.

Education and/or Experience

Some machine positions may require additional certification or a technical training program.

HS Diploma Required

  • College Degree or technical training in a related field (Preferred)
  • 3-5 years maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

  • CalOSHA 10 (preferred)
  • OSHA Forklift Certification (preferred)
  • CPR & First Aid Certification (preferred)
