Intern Aviation Software Engineering

ROLE DESCRIPTION

Assist Airborne Aviation Software Development Team with development of features on our Virtual Terminal and build system for ESA and Open Orbits satellite terminals. Assist with usage of Virtual Terminal Stack as part of our fully automated development pipeline and automation test framework.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Week 1-3: Work with team to understand virtual stack development environment and Continuous Integration and Deployment strategies.
  • Week 4-6: Work with team to understand on virtual stack development and assist with analysis of automation test issues seen by teams.
  • Week 7-10: Continued work with team on virtual stack development and work with a scrum team on new feature development which utilizes the virtual environment.
  • Week 10-12: Wrap up final development work and present progress and findings to peer developers.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Part-time or full-time students who have completed 24+ credit hours (rising sophomores/juniors/seniors) and are enrolled in an undergraduate program at an accredited college or university; Part-time or full-time students enrolled in a graduate program at an accredited college or university
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment, professionalism, and maturity in the workplace
  • Effective communicator in both written and spoken English
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in use of MSOffice Suite
  • 3.0 GPA or above preferred

OTHER KEY REQUIREMENTS / COMMENTS

  • Strong desire to watch YouTube videos of airplanes taking off and landing.
