SUMMARY
This position will ensure the quality and integrity of all software products produced by or implemented for Senior Market Sales and Affiliates, monitor and report on processes and procedures in product development and design, and be responsible for building and updating testing scenarios and test cases which can be leveraged in both a manual and automated test environment. Responsible for learning and understanding the Senior Market Sales business model and systems to an elevated level of knowledge.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Product Testing: Conduct testing on all software products for applicable platforms utilizing systems analysis techniques and procedures; Backend database testing in designated/appropriate environment including validating stored procs, jobs and triggers. Identify test requirements from specifications, map test case requirements and design test coverage plan. Create and maintain automation scripts for new and existing tests. Identify potential quality issues per defined process and escalate potential quality issues immediately to management. Isolate, replicate and report defects and verify defect fixes. Collaborate with developers and other to build software that meets customer needs and solves real problems. Leverage situational awareness to guide, support, and supplement as appropriate when working with others.

Reporting: Maintain testing progress and discrepancy reporting system; collect metric data for trend analysis; and publish test reports and review material prior to general distribution. Summarizes and communicates testing outcomes in meaningful ways. Facilitate the creation and maintenance of test plan/case reviews with cross-functional team members. Identify potential quality issues per defined process and escalate potential quality issues immediately to management.

Leadership and General Management: Acts as ongoing liaison and collaborate among clients, operations, and technical staff. Presentations at appropriate meetings to include ongoing initiatives as well as future plans to be implemented, accurate reporting, reviewing objectives, reviewing progress, identifying needs or areas for improvement and action plans for correction. Work collaboratively with fellow staff to advance the values and mission of Senior Market Sales by participating in and attending appropriate management and administration meetings; and provide strategic, policy and operational leadership.

Special Projects: Work collaboratively with fellow staff to advance the values and mission of Senior Market Sales by serving on relevant internal and external committees; Assists with special projects/assignments as requested by members of management.

Performs other duties as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems or related field

Four (4) or more years relevant Quality Assurance Technical experience required, preferably for a company in the insurance industry or software company with insurance or marketing-related experience.

Experience in project management and QA methodology, familiarity with Agile frameworks and regression testing and automated testing tools and processing

SKILLS

Knowledge of general testing strategies, protocols, procedures, software and best practices.

Experience of implementing and working with automated testing tools.

Working knowledge of insurance services, industries, and product lines.

Knowledge of the general industry procedures, practices and terminology including data processing system and application design methods, techniques and standards.

Working knowledge of software product quality testing practices, procedures and systems.

Knowledge of general office forms, processes and procedures.

Knowledge of program and project management including outcomes, quality assurance, and satisfaction measurement and interpretation.

Knowledge of accounting and budgeting principles and procedures.

Knowledge of supervisory techniques to accomplish instruction, motivation and training of personnel.

Skill to supervise, motivate and train.

Skill in negotiating and problem solving to resolve internal and external conflicts.

Skill in developing effective communication materials.

Skill in the use of office equipment including computer, fax, printer, telephone system, etc.

Skill in the use of time management, organizational leadership and supervisory skills.

Skill in maintaining effective working relationships with other management members, employees and the general public.

Proficient computer skills (Microsoft/Word, Excel and PowerPoint software preferred).

Ability to analyze and accurately interpret budgets, financial reports and statistical data.

Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, in a constructive manner.

Ability to approach and communicate with a wide range of personalities in a professional and courteous manner.

Ability to be patient under frustrating circumstances and demonstrate controlled emotional affect in difficult situations.

Strong verbal and written proficiencies of the English language is required and bilingual (Spanish and English) preferred.
