Job Summary


The Customer Service Representative I is responsible for managing customer interactions, processing orders, and supporting sales operations within an industrial environment. This role requires experience in distribution or manufacturing with tangible goods and focuses on delivering accurate, timely, and professional service. The position works closely with internal teams and external vendors to ensure order fulfillment, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency.

Job Responsibilities



  • Manage a high volume of customer inquiries via email and phone, ensuring prompt and professional responses.
  • Provide product information, generate quotes, and process customer orders accurately.
  • Enter and manage orders, including order acknowledgements and status updates.
  • Coordinate with third-party vendors to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
  • Initiate and manage return and exchange processes in alignment with company standards.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships to support retention and repeat business.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and improve processes.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and transactions.
  • Meet departmental performance metrics and service level expectations.


Job Requirements



  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience in distribution or manufacturing environments with tangible goods required.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to navigate multiple systems within a Windows environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams and with external partners.


Education



  • High school diploma or equivalent required.


Work Experience



  • Prior experience in customer service within distribution or manufacturing required.
