We are seeking a dedicated and experienced professional to lead daily operations within our Donor Referral Center in Portland. In this role, you will work closely with the Director to ensure efficient, highquality processes that align with organizational goals, regulatory requirements, and our mission to support donation.
Essential Functions
- Lead employees responsible for screening, documentation, and medical evaluation of tissue and/or eye donors.
- Develop, implement, and manage standard operating procedures, work instructions, job aids, and related materials to ensure consistency and quality.
- Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) in donor eligibility and authorization, providing training and support to internal and external partners.
- Interview, select, train, lead, evaluate, develop, and coach employees.
- Collaborate professionally with internal and external partners to maximize donation opportunities while maintaining mutual respect and shared accountability.
- Provide management oversight for daily task completion and ensure team accountability.
- Assist with budget development and ongoing expense monitoring.
- Participate in project teams and process development initiatives.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree required.
- Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience.
Work Environment & Physical Activities
- Availability for occasional afterhours calls or communications to support operations and address timesensitive matters.
- Some overnight travel required, including commercial air travel.
- Must be able to meet physical demands of the role with or without reasonable accommodation.
Desired Qualifications
- Certified Tissue Bank Specialist (CTBS) preferred.
