Join the HJF Team! HJF is seeking an Intern whose work will involve performance of a variety of laboratory tasks supporting translational military trauma research. Candidate will conduct technical work involving a variety of laboratory support duties. These may include data acquisition, data analysis, and assist in the interpretation of data. This position will be in support of the Battlefield Shock and Organ Support (BSOS) Research Program at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USUHS). BSOS is dedicated to novel solutions for warfighter survivability and ability to return to duty after combat-related injury. The program unites military and civilian partners from academia and industry for scientifically rigorous and operationally relevant combat casualty care research, with a focus on prolonged care paradigms in large-scale combat operations - the most challenging clinical conditions imaginable. BSOS develops therapeutic, device, technique, and training solutions designed to create more time for resuscitation, chronologically or biologically. This 10-week summer internship is an opportunity for an undergraduate student to get involved with BSOS research across large-animal work, computational modeling, and translational trauma research, embedding with the team to contribute to an active project.
