We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Supply Chain Manager to lead the sourcing, strategy, and supplier relationships for crash safety, seat sensing, and seat belt commodities. This individual will work closely with engineering teams, quality partners, and external suppliers to ensure that these commodities meet rigorous performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency standards. Reporting to the Staff Supply Chain Manager, you will be a key resource supporting various engineering groups within Tesla, ensuring seamless alignment with Tesla's goals. In this fast-paced, dynamic environment, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement sourcing strategies that guarantee optimal supply assurance, pricing, flexibility, quality, and delivery performance. You'll explore and industrialize technologies while building strong relationships with suppliers to meet Tesla's strategic objectives. What You'll Do
- Lead the end-to-end sourcing and procurement process for crash safety and seat sensing commodities, managing RFQs, contract negotiations, NDAs, General Terms & Conditions, and Piece Price Agreements to ensure transparent and efficient business transactions
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers, building a reliable supply base to support the evolving needs of these commodities
- Drive strategic negotiations on piece pricing and product development with suppliers, aligning cost expectations, quality standards, and performance requirements
- Collaborate closely with engineering and manufacturing teams to define specifications, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance
- Continuously conduct market research and stay updated on advancements in technologies, designs, and systems to identify cutting-edge solutions that can enhance performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness
- Develop and implement sourcing strategies that align with Tesla's long-term visions, ensuring the right suppliers are in place to meet technological and production demands
- Spearhead cost reduction initiatives that balance cost efficiency with uncompromising quality and reliability, optimizing the supply chain for camera modules and related assemblies
What You'll Bring
- 5+ years of experience in supply chain management, or commodity management, for direct categories used in high volume manufacturing products
- 3+ years of experience in Automotive supply chain management, or commodity management with mechanical and electrical commodities
- Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations Management, Engineering or equivalent experience
- Preferred experience with mechanical/electrical engineering concepts related to the commodity and ability to generate bottom-up should costs based on the understanding of manufacturing process
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
- Proficient knowledge of technical requirements & design of the product and be able to influence cross functional partners with detailed analysis that supports optimized pricing and product sourcing decisions
- Technical and commercial understanding of supply chain and manufacturing processes for mechanical and electrical components

Expected Compensation
$104,000 - $192,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
