DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position oversees financial examinations of domestic insurance companies and supports the agency mission through strong oversight and leadership. As a Insurance Company Examination Director, you will perform the following duties:
- Examination Oversight: Direct examinations of insurance companies to assess solvency and compliance with laws and regulations
- Standards Development: Create and approve processes for conducting financial examinations and oversee related software needs
- Report Analysis: Review examination findings and recommend appropriate regulatory actions
- Group Coordination: Lead examination coordination for insurer groups where Pennsylvania is the designated lead U.S. regulator
- Staff Leadership: Guide, train, and supervise examination staff to ensure quality work and continued professional growth

- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
- Telework: This position is home headquartered. In order to be home headquartered, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year as an Insurance Company Examination Manager (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Seven years of professional accounting, auditing, or examining experience, including four years supervising insurance accounting or insurance company examination work; and a bachelor's degree; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training. Graduate course work in accounting, insurance or business administration may be substituted for experience on a year-for-year basis.
