We're seeking a Lead Platform Administrator. This role oversees enterprise data and analytics platform operations, ensuring scalability, performance, security, and alignment with business goals. This role provides technical and people leadership across a platform ecosystem that includes cloud data platforms, analytics services, and containerized compute environments. About the role: *Oversee design, implementation, and maintenance of cloud data platform compute, clusters, and workloads; ensure platform scalability, performance, and security. *Develop and enforce platform administration policies and procedures; align capabilities with business goals in partnership with leadership. *Provide escalated support and troubleshooting; oversee data governance, access control, and catalog services, including external access controls such as service principals, SQL warehouses, Delta Sharing, and equivalent platform capabilities. *Drive continuous improvement of infrastructure, user management, and external access processes, review documentation quality. *Oversee creation of monitoring queries/dashboards; enforce tagging and naming standards; review cluster health and bestpractice compliance. *Ensure regular backups/recovery and recurring privilege reviews; stay current on Databricks/cloud trends. *Provide daytoday leadership providing coaching, development, and performance management. *Define and enforce platform DevOps standards, including CI/CD, infrastructureascode, environment promotion, and automated compliance controls across the platform ecosystem. What you will need 6 years of relevant experience required, Supervisory experience a plus Bachelor's degree is required. Combination of relevant experience, education, and training may be accepted in lieu of degree. Degree in computer science preferred Technical Competencies
